What we install

We fix sinking, cracked, and uneven concrete across Kansas City

Concrete moves for a reason, and in Kansas City that reason is almost always the ground under it. The clay soil across Jackson County swells when it soaks up a wet spring, then pulls back tight when the summer heat bakes it dry. Winter piles on. Long runs of freezing nights lift the slab, and warmer afternoons let it drop back down again. Do that a few dozen times over a handful of seasons, and the damage shows up. A driveway that poured dead flat starts to tip toward the house. A patio settles at one corner. The walk to your door grows a lip that catches a toe. We look at what the concrete is doing before we touch it. A thin crack in a sound slab is a very different job than a panel that has sunk a full inch. The right fix has to answer the cause. Patch the top and ignore the soil below, and the same slab is back on our phone next spring.

For a slab that has sunk but is still solid, we lift it back to grade instead of tearing it out. We drill a set of small ports through the concrete. Then we pump a dense material into the empty pockets below. We raise the panel a little at a time until it sits level with the ground around it. The ports get patched, and in most cases you would never know we were there. Cracks that have stopped moving get cleaned out and sealed, so rain stops running down into the base and washing it away. Flaking and pitted spots get patched and blended so the repair reads as part of the slab. When a section is broken past saving, we say so and pour a fresh panel, because dressing up concrete that has already failed only buys you a few months.

  • We lift sunken driveways, patios, garage aprons, and porch slabs back to level, with no need to rip out and repour the whole thing.
  • Cracks and joints get sealed tight against water before the next hard Kansas City freeze pries them wider.
  • Trip hazards at sidewalk seams, front steps, and garage entries come down flush so nobody in the family stumbles.
  • Most leveling work is ready to walk on the same day we finish and back in normal use soon after.
  • You deal with the crew doing the work, not a call center, and we say straight whether a slab is worth lifting or better replaced.
A slab that has only settled is usually worth lifting. The concrete itself is still good, so we raise it back to grade and skip the cost and mess of a full pour.

We work across Kansas City and the towns wrapped around it, from Raytown and Independence to Lees Summit, Gladstone, Grandview, and Blue Springs. When you call, we set a time to come out, walk the slab with you, and lay out what we see in plain words. If lifting the concrete is the right call, we tell you and get it scheduled. If the base under it is too far gone and a fresh pour makes more sense, we tell you that instead. Either way you leave the visit with a clear plan and a real date on the calendar, not a vague promise that someone will call you back.

If your concrete has started to sink, crack, or tilt away from the house, the smart move is to look at it before another winter drives it further. Call us and we will come out, tell you what is really going on under the slab, and get it sitting level again.
